I’m going to be that annoying person who each day blogs about the awesome, healthy food she is eating. This will be the only long post. The rest will be about 3 lines long.
I used to eat SUPER healthy (especially after I first got sick…almost a year ago now). Then I graduated college, got super busy with multiple jobs, and making food became inconvenient while Taco Bell, In-N-Out, and Subway became convenient (and more importantly, cheap).
So basically, these once-a-day posts are meant to keep me in check with my lovely, healthy vegetarian eating. Unhealthy vegetarian eating is a lot of bread/carbs and cheese. Healthy vegetarian eating is vegetables, fruits, and various protein sources.
A year ago, I completely cut sugar - refined and natural - out of my diet, and I stayed that way for about a month. In that month, my skin suddenly became fantastic; my hair, stronger; my sleep, easier and better; my energy, as good as it could be. I was super, super sick (102 degree fever, constantly exhausted, and many other things), so that is why my energy was as good as it could be. Yes, I lost 13lbs during this time, but I am disregarding the weight loss. I am doing this because of how great I felt. Yes, I was very sick, but I still felt a lot better than when I had been eating unhealthy. Honestly, from a nutrition stand point, many illnesses are spurred by unhealthy eating, and many can be cured by healthy eating.
